Refund Policy - the basics

No Refund Policy – Tax Preparation & Bookkeeping Services

Thank you for choosing our firm for your tax preparation and bookkeeping needs. Due to the professional nature of our services and the time, expertise, and resources dedicated to each client engagement, we maintain the following No Refund Policy:

1. Tax Preparation Services

All fees paid for tax preparation services are non-refundable once work has commenced. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Tax return preparation (Federal, State, and Local)

  • Review of prior year returns

  • Tax planning and consultation

  • Amendments and corrections

  • Electronic filing services

Preparation work begins upon receipt of your documents, completed intake forms, or verbal/written authorization to proceed. Once work has started, you are responsible for payment of all fees incurred, regardless of whether you choose to file the return.

2. Bookkeeping Services

All bookkeeping service fees are non-refundable once services have been rendered. This includes:

  • Monthly/quarterly bookkeeping

  • Account reconciliations

  • Financial statement preparation

  • Clean-ups or catch-up work

  • Payroll processing and reporting

  • Sales tax filings

Because bookkeeping work involves time-intensive review, categorization, reconciliation, and system maintenance, refunds will not be issued for completed or partially completed work.

3. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information. Refunds will not be issued due to:

  • Dissatisfaction with tax outcomes (refund balance or taxes owed)

  • Failure to provide required documentation

  • Delays caused by the client

  • Decisions to seek services elsewhere after work has begun

4. Filing & Submission

Once a tax return has been transmitted electronically or mailed, all fees are final and non-refundable.

5. Prepaid or Retainer Fees

Any prepaid, deposit, or retainer fees secure your place in our workflow and are non-refundable, as they reserve time and resources on your behalf.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this No Refund Policy.
